This service provides information and referral to local residents and those working or shopping in Hurstville.

We aim to provide the community with assistance in finding information on issues of concern to them. Publications such as the Seniors Paper and Sydney’s Child are also available through us, along with course catalogues from St George and Sutherland Community Colleges.
Conveniently located in Westfield Shoppingtown Hurstville, the community information desk is a great place to find out about local activities and services, as well as information on topical issues. We ensure we have information covering the following issues:
• Child, Youth and Family
• Health
• Mental Health and personal growth
• Counselling
• Services for frail aged and people with a disability
• Legal
• Safety
• Leisure
• Education, employment and training
• Emergency assistance
You will often find an array of information on a particular topic when we have displays for special weeks within the year, such as Child Protection Week or Asthma Week.

Our technology allows us to search the World Wide Web to source information we do not currently hold.
We provide a Justice of the Peace service during certain hours and also have details of other Justice of the Peace services within the local area.

A part-time coordinator manages up to 20 volunteers working at our desk. These volunteers are trained to provide a quality service to the community.

We are always interested in your feedback. This helps us to continually improve our level of service.

The Community Information Desk is based next to the Coles Supermarket in Westfield Shoppingtown in Hurstville. The Desk is staffed by skilled volunteers who can help members of the public find information on a wide range of topics. When the Desk is not attended, information is available from the shelves, and from the Information Screen that operates from the same site.
